Donald Way of Hobart, Indiana passed away, Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Saint Anthony Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born March 14, 1934 in Rossville, Illinois to the late Alvin and Merdene Way. He was a retired Engineer for E J & E Railroad and also proudly served his country in the United States Army. On October 6, 1942, Donald married Rosemary Parkinson and started a family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Donald is survived by his wife; Rosemary Way of Hobart, 2 sons; Donald (Lisa) Way Jr. of Hobart, William Daniel (Sandra) Way of Crown Point and daughter Kathleen (Greg) Viator of Hobart, 5 grandchildren Gregory, Mathew, Stephen Viator and Nathan and Nicole Way, brother-in –law John (Laura) Parkinson of Whiting and sister-in-law Myrna Way of New Hope, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Way and sister Joanne Phillips.
Funeral services for Donald will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
