Donna J. Brazil, age 77 of Hobart passed away Wednesday July 10, 2013. She was born on April 17, 1936 in Hobart, Indiana to the late James R. and Eleanore Leonard. She was a lifelong Hobart resident, a graduate of Hobart High School Class of 1954, and an Air Force veteran. Donna was a member of the Michigan Avenue United Methodist Church and the Hobart Arts League. She enjoyed oil painting, going to rummage sales, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna was an all around sports fan.
She is survived by 3 sons, Charles (Cathleen Edwards) Brazil of Hobart, IN; James (Barbara) Brazil of Murray, KY; Michael (Patti) Brazil of Hobart, IN; 2 daughters, Dianna (Mick Sandlin) Porter of Hobart, IN; Susan (Michael) Wolfe of Hobart, IN; 2 brothers, Dave (Dottie) Leonard of Hobart, IN; Thomas Leonard of Hobart, IN; 1 sister, Patricia Dooling of Hobart, IN; and 7 grandchildren, Michael (Rachel), Robert (Christine), Samantha, Rachael (Joe), Jason (Tracy), Jessica, and Mickey and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Brazil, and 1 brother, Richard "Dick' Leonard.
Memorial services will be Monday, July 15, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge, Road, Hobart with Rev. Michael Cover officiating. Memorial visitation will be Monday just prior to the service from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation services.
