Donna Faye Coburn

Age 85, of Chesterton, passed away December 11, 2023. She was born March 5, 1938, in Harrisburg Illinois to Richard and Veva Foster, who preceded her in death.

On January 29, 1959, she married James Coburn who preceded her in death in 1980. After being widowed as a young mother, Donna worked numerous jobs while raising her three sons. She retired as a secretary from Rogers and Sons Construction Company in 1995. Donna loved working in her yard and tending to her flower gardens. She also took great pride in keeping her house spic-n-span. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Donna treasured her time with her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Steve (Kristin) Coburn and Richard (Kathy) Coburn; granddaughter, Kassondra (Casey) Schavey and grandson, Richy Coburn, great grandsons, Carter and Kooper Schavey and many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, James Coburn Sr.; son, James "Dave" Coburn Jr.; grandson, Matthew Coburn, sisters, Dixie Sandage, and Dianna Davis, beloved brothers in law Gene Sandage and Bill Davis.

A funeral service for Donna will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368. Burial at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 11:30- until the time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
