Donna Copas

DONNA M. COPAS, age 77, of Portage, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017.  She was born on August 9, 1940 to the late Ellsworth and Grace Parks.  Most recently Donna worked as a nurse's aide for the Valparaiso VNA.  She was a member of NWI Deaf Club, Bonner Senior Center.  In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, spending time with her deaf friends, babysitting, and attending her T.O.P.S. #1257 meetings.  Donna was a kind and caring woman who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son, Gene Alan Copas, Portage; granddaughter, Kimber Renee Copas; sister, Jennie (Larry) Hund, SC; numerous nieces and nephews that knew her as Aunt Shorty.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Cowboy" Copas and brother, Bob Parks.

Funeral services for Donna will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, Indiana.  Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, November 24, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  For information, please call (219) 762-3013.
