Donna Edmonds, (nee Springman), age 79 passed away suddenly at home Thursday November 25, 2010. Donna was born on October 20, 1931 to George and Helen Springman who preceded her in death. She has been a life long Hobart resident. In Donna's youth she was employed for about 10 years by Jansen's Fruit Market. Then she became involved with the family business, Edmonds Tree Services, Area Tree Service, Pony Lounge and Terry Edmonds Tree Service. Donna was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and sister and will be missed by all.
Donna is survived by 7 children, Carol Jean (Don) Trethewey of Chesterfield, MI, Paul (Laura) Edmonds of Valparaiso, IN, Joyce (Brian) Schwuchow of Hobart, Linda (Jim) Hartman of Valparaiso, Terry (Tammy) Edmonds of Portage, James Edmonds of Portage and Steve Edmonds of Hobart; 14 Grandchildren Greg Edmonds, Cheryll Henry, Chad Edmonds, Clayton Edmonds, Jill Fuller, Kim Bilkey, Jason Hartman, Jaime Christoff, Chris Edmonds, Jennifer Edmonds, Craig Edmonds, Timmy Edmonds, Haley Edmonds and Conner Edmonds; 3 Step grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Davey Maldonado and Stacey Garrett; 18 Great grandchild, Donna was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Springman; 2 sisters Helen Kling and Arlene White; 3 grandchildren Ronnie Trethewey, twins Jennifer Lynn, and Janet Lee Hartman; 2 great grandchildren, Sierra Rose Edmonds and Leah Joyce Bilkey.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. with Rev. Dennis Ticen, officiating. Burial will follow at Hobart Cemetery, Hobart. A visitation for Donna will be on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart chapel.
