Donna L. Hunt (nee Boulden), age 75, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019. She was born on February 15, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to the late Robert and Loretta Boulden. Raised on the Southside of Chicago, she was a 1962 graduate of Thornton High School in Harvey, Illinois and then attended Thornton Community College. She married Davey Lee Hunt in Markham, Illinois on April 5, 1986. Donna retired from Blackhawk Construction, where she worked as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, camping, dancing and gardening. She was dedicated to taking care of her family. Donna loved her pets and could cook for an army. She was devoted to her husband, and after his death she enjoyed traveling with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy Kyser, David Cameron; daughters, Kimberly Rouse, Janet (Ed) Holmes; grandchildren, Michael Rouse, Robert Rouse, Matthew Rouse, Brandon Holmes, Jason Holmes; great grandchildren, Abigail Rouse and Sue Rouse; brother, Lee (Pat Heber) Boulden; her loving cousin, Glenda Varner; and many other loving family members and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Kyser in 1977; her second husband, Davey Lee Hunt in 2011; sister-in-law, Sue Boulden; many other dear family members and her furbabies, Teash, Sammy, Toby and Joey. Memorial contributions in Donna's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96 ^th Street Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at Community Hospital Oncology and ICU units and the nurses of Calumet Hospice.

A funeral service for Donna will take place Monday, August 5, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held Sunday, August 4, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
