Donna Marie Martinez (Nee Reid), age 64, of Portage passed away Tuesday March 29, 2016 in Munster Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born September 10, 1951 in Gary, IN to Donald and Evelyn (Raab) Reid. Donna was a supervisor in the Central Services Department of Franciscan Alliance for 17 years and worked for St. Mary Medical Center for 20 years previously. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister that lived for her family.

Donna is survived by her two sons, Hector (Marie) Reyes of Portage and Daniel (Linda) Reyes of Valparaiso; her mother Evelyn Reid of Chesterton; her dearest partner Noel Martinez of Portage; two sisters Virginia Mitckess of Chesterton and Elaine (Don) Somers of Miller Beach; five granddaughters Cynthia, Dawn, Brittany, Selena and Christina; two great granddaughters Madison and Mackenzie; and several nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday April 2, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368. Burial will follow in McCool Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home.
