Donna L. Scharbach

Donna L. Scharbach, age 87, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Donna was born in Porter County, Indiana on December 13, 1929 to the late Marcene and Helen (nee Jannausch) Haxton. She graduated from Hobart High School, class of 1947. Donna was employed with AFCO Inc. for 35 years. She was member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart. Donna enjoyed reading in her free time and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Kyle Oros; step daughter, Linda Scharbach; grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Bulatovich, Kelly (Bill) Haynes, Jennifer (Jim) Bush; and great grandchildren, Tyler and Kylie Bulatovich, Billy, David and Eric Haynes, John, Adam and Jimmy Bush.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Burke; late husband, Martin "Mark" Scharbach; son in law, John Oros; brother, Robert Haxton; and her parents.

Memorial contributions, in Donna's honor, may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 Luther Drive, Hobart, IN 46342.

A memorial service for Donna will take place Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342 with Rev. Nathan Kramer officiating. Memorial visitation will be held just prior to the service from 11-1 pm at the funeral home. A burial of cremains will take place at McCool Cemetery in Portage at a later date.
