DONNA L. TAYLOR, age 49, of Hobart, passed away suddenly Friday, August 31, 2012 at Methodist Hospital, Southlake Campus. Donna was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and an avid Cubs fan. She had been a lifelong Hobart resident and was employed at US Steel Family Medical Center as an administrative assistant. Donna was a very active member at Augustana Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, served on the Church Council and Altar Guild. She was a graduate of Hobart High School in 1981.
Donna is survived by her husband, John M. Taylor, son, Mike Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter, Taryn Donna Taylor of Hobart, parents, Jack "Biff" and Nancy Baker of Hobart, brother, Jeff (Lori) Baker of Fishers, IN, 2 sisters, Rhonda (Dan) Philipsborn of Munster, IN, and Brenda (Bob) Wisniewski of Hobart and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations to either Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund or Augustana Lutheran Church Foundation would be appreciated.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly St., Hobart, with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 2-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W.
