Donovan Kaufman, age 50 of Hobart passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025.  He was born on June 26, 1975 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Raymond and Nadine Kaufman.  Donovan was a graduate of Andrean High School, Class of 1993.  He went on to graduate from UTI mechanics program.  He worked for many years at Atlas Transmission in Lake Station.   Donovan was a proud member of INGO Indiana Gun Owners Association, he enjoyed collecting firearms and teaching gun safety.  Donovan was a devoted father and will be remembered as a BBQ master.

He is survived by his significant other, Debi Kutzer of Hobart, one son, Aidan (fiancée, Hannah) Kaufman of Chesterton, IN;  two daughters, Kearra Kaufman of Portage, IN; and Abigail Kaufman of Hobart, IN; three sisters, Lisa Kaufman of Helena, MT; Laura (Jeff) Lundy of Surprise, AZ; Liz (John Walls) Brewer of Buckeye, AZ;  two step-daughters, Adele (Walter) Osorio of Granger, IN; Mackenzie (Josh) Gaines of Rochester, IN; four grandchildren, Leonardo, Mateo, Aidan Jr., and Emery.
