Age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 16,2011 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso.
She was formerly a longtime Lake Station resident. Doris enjoyed going to Casino, and playing the slot machines.
She is survived by her 3 granddaughters; Shelly Thomason of AZ., Bridget (Michael) Compass of Valparaiso, Robin (Mark) Taylor of Portage, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and many, nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Ralph Brewer, son; Roger Ralph Brewer, parents; Emerson Milton and Olive Bell (nee Pendleton) Timmerman, 3 brothers; Edward, Donald and Jack Timmerman, 3 sisters; Marie Graham, Gwendolyn Swanson and Shirley McCarney.
Graveside services are Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, Indiana. Please meet at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m., 5341 Central Ave. Visitation is Friday, August 19, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 7p.m. service with Pastor, Duane Schmidt at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
