Doris J Buckner, age 87 of Valparaiso passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 2, 1927, in Tobacco Port, Tennessee to the late Jerry M and Dalcie (nee Kingins) Broshears. Doris was a member of Portage First United Methodist Church. She was a 1992 retiree of Anderson Company in Michigan City where she worked as a Production Operator.
She is survived by her son, Edward Buckner of Valparaiso, IN; three daughters, Nancy (Jessie) Olive of Lexington, Alabama, Jeanette (James) Wardrop of Valparaiso, and Laura (Edward) Piontek of Valparaiso; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; Raymond B. Martin and Edward "Cy" Buckner, one son, Donald B. Martin, her parents and five siblings, Morris Broshears, Hazel Hinchley, Margie Nell Alt, Barbara Kleckner and Francis Lee Krieg.

Funeral services are Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Wesley Crist officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery.
