Doris A Edwards

Doris A. Edwards, age 78, a longtime Hobart resident passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018.  She was born on March 30, 1940 in Hobart, Indiana to the late Vernon and Lucille Kenniger.  Doris was a former member of the Hobart Jaycees.  She was a member of the "Pink Ladies", volunteering her time at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart,  She enjoyed Pinochle, spending time with her family and with her longtime grammar and Hobart High School band friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Edwards.

She is survived by one son, Tim (Doreen) Edwards of Hobart, IN; one daughter, Cindy (Joe) Bohac of Bolingbrook, IL; one brother, Norman (Betty) Kenniger of Valparaiso, IN; one sister, Verna Mae (Lewis) Hill of Portage, IN; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Jake) Pieniazek, Austin (Crystal) Edwards, Rachel Bohac, Kyle Edwards, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 9 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Mark Hostetler officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.  Visitation is Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.  (219) 942-2109 or online at www.Reesfuneralhomes.com .
