Doris B. Lucas, age 95, of Zephyr Hills, FL and formerly of Hobart passed away Friday March 13, 2015 in the Heartlands of Zephyr Hills nursing center. Doris was born August 28, 1919 in Tipton County, Tennessee to the late Theo Harris and Mary Lillian (Smith) Byrd. Doris was a retired clerk working for several area drug stores and the Brown House. She loved her family dearly and was a member of the Hobart Church of Christ.

Doris is survived by her three sons Thomas A. (Lana) Lucas of Hobart, IN Joe W. (Ginny) Lucas of Dade City, FL and Rodney L. (Sandy) Lucas of Wesley Chapel, FL; three daughters Linda F. (Don) Cleek of Athens, AL; Patricia A. (Bill) Ervin of Nashville, IN and Susan Byrd (Kenneth) Dance; nineteen grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; twenty great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Lucas, her parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Rees Funeral Home 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with Minister Jeremy Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Tuesday at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
