DORIS E. RICHARDSON, age 73, of Arlington, TX, formerly a longtime Gary resident, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015. She was born on April 15, 1942 in Gary. Doris worked as a retail clerk at Kmart in Miller and Ace Hardware in Lake Station for many years and was a member of American Legion Post #279 in Miller. Doris will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her 4 children, Gale (Kenneth) Ewell, Gary Richardson, John (Kay) Richardson, and Bonnie (Tom) McKenna; 6 grandchildren, Mari, Kim, Kevin, Tracy, Nicole, and Elena; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Martin; and sister-in-law, Barbara Dobbs; cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Richardson; parents, Hershel "Ray" and Ruby Dobbs; and brother, Ray Dobbs, Jr.

A funeral service for Doris will be Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.
