Doris J. Rodgers (nee Baumgardner), age 80 of Hobart passed away Friday, February 12, 2016. She was born on November 15, 1935 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to the late Eugene and Pearle Baumgardner. She was a longtime Hobart resident. Doris was an active member of Augustana Lutheran Church where she served as the Director of the Children's Choir for 20 years, was a member of the Rebecca's Circle women's group, member of the Chapel Worship and Music Committee, and she also served as the Superintendent of Sunday School and as a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed working with floral crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Rodgers of Hobart, IN; two sons, David A. (Diane) Rodgers of Columbus, IN; Donald E. (Jan) Rodgers of Richmond, VA; one daughter, Lori A. (Bradley) Galbraith of Lake Station, IN; four grandchildren, Derek A., Danielle M., and Dustin A. Rodgers, and Jamie L. Bogdan.

She was preceded in death by one brother, James Baumgardner, and one grandson, Jonathan R. Bogdan.

Visitation is Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
Funeral services are Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. with additional visitation just prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. directly at Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly Street, Hobart with Rev.
