Dorotha D. Morales

Dorotha D. Morales, age 90, of Portage passed away suddenly Thursday March 2, 2017 at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Dorotha was born January 14, 1927 in Rector, Arkansas to the late John and Minnie (Huff) Seay. Dorotha was a long time employee of Goldblatts Department Store and a homemaker. She loved quilting, word search puzzles and collecting glassware.

Dorotha is survived by Two children, Larry (Janice) Murray of LaPorte and Brenda (Ed deceased) Anton of Portage; one stepdaughter Judy Scott; one stepson Raul Scott; nine grandchildren, Larry Kingery, Mark Kingery, Ronda Tidwell, Brent Kingery, Lynette Capusan, Jeff Murray, Julie Keelen, Anthony Anton and Eric Anton; five step grandchildren Maria Gibson,Luis Raul Scott, Jr., Victor Scott, Joshua Scott and Veronica Carson; eighteen great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Digno Morales and Harold Murray; one daughter, Barbara (Joe) Mulligan and six half brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday March 9, 2017 at the Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel 3781 Central Ave. Lake Station, IN 46405 with Pastor Jesse Moore Officiating. Burial will follow in McCool Cemetery Portage, Indiana. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
