Age 99, passed away Sunday, September 04, 2011 a Hobart/Barbee Lake area resident. Dot is a retired Hobart schoolteacher. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, watching sports and spending time with other people. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by 1 son Tom (Barbara) Kurth of Elkhart 3 grandchildren, Kristie (Steve) Stutsman of Elkhart, Frank (Denise) Kurth of Oseola, Karen (Bill) Hunter of Gastonia, NC; 5 great grandchildren Justin Stutsman, Thomas and Katie Kurth, Dean and Kurt Hunter. Many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank "Red" Kurth, parents Clifton and Uva (Nee Lee) Thomas, 2 sisters; Harriet Hidy and Mary Elizabeth Fralick, and 1 brother John Franklin Thomas.

Funeral services Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 Luther Drive, Hobart with Rev. Gary Nagy officiating. There will be additional visitation at church from 10 a.m. until time of service Burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
