DOROTHY JEAN BOGASKI, age 76, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Saint Mary Medical Center. Dorothy was born in Chicago on October 25, 1934 to the late Louise and George Evans. She came to Indiana after residing in Illinois and Mississippi for many years. Dorothy was a switchboard operator at Illinois Bell for many years. Dorothy enjoyed attending church functions, activities at the senior center and playing bingo. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Dorothy will be missed dearly.

Dorothy is survived by her 2 children, Karen (Dave Huhn) Bogaski and John (Beverly) Bogaski; 7 grandchildren, Rebecca, Laura, Joey, Jessica, JJ, Danny and Jason; 7 great grandchildren, Adrianna, Adien, Adam, Joshua, Natalie, Nathin, and Ethan; other loving family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Bogaski; daughter, Kimberly Louise Bogaski; sisters, Phyllis Wisniewski and Betty Coriero; her loving companion, Wesley Nettles.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be Saturday, June 18, 2011 beginning with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, and proceeding to Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, 3530 Illinois St., Hobart, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Lourdu Pasala officiating.
