Dorothy Jean Eaton

Dorothy Jean Eaton (nee Frazier), age 87, formerly of Lake Station, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

Dorothy was born on June 20, 1935 in Gary, IN to the late Oscar and Helen Frazier.  She was a graduate of Emerson High School.  Dorothy worked as a clerk at Sanbon Hallmark which was located in Peachtree Mall in Portage, IN.  She was a loving wife to Ken Eaton until his passing in 1994.  Dorothy and Ken were members of Augustana Lutheran Church.  Dorothy loved to gamble and enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and casino boats.  In the past, she worked each summer on a dude ranch out West in Wyoming.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Beth (David) Rappatta and Carol Eaton; numerous loving grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a host of extended family; and dear neighbors and friends in her Lake Station neighborhood.

Cremation and arrangements are entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.  Dorothy will be laid to rest at a later date at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
