DOROTHY A. JONES, age 82, of Portage, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Minter City, Mississippi on August 10, 1934. Dorothy was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post #279 Ladies' Auxiliary and an avid bowler most recently at Ray's Lanes. She was a dedicated member of Salvation Army Church in South Haven. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Shawn (Mystic) Jones, Chehalis, WA; 2 daughters, Adriane Jagger, Portage and Juli Hudgins, Chicago; brother, Davis Smith, Meridian, MS; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim Bailey) Fortney, Stickney, IL, Summer, Dustin, and Drake Jones all of Chehalis, WA; great grandson, Elliott Bailey, Stickney, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Jones; father, William Hale Watson and mother Izola Betts (nee Jones).

A visitation will be Monday, November 28, 2016 from 3:00 until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, with Majors Jonathan and Kim Welch.
