Dorothy Lee Mcghee

Dorothy Lee McGhee, of Portage, IN, age 77, was born May 16, 1940.  She was called home to the comfort of the Lord's loving arms in her peaceful sleep on Sunday night October 22, 2017.  There to guide her home was the love of her life and husband of 42 years, Arvil "Bob" R. McGhee and there first born son, infant Darrel R. McGhee.

Dorothy is survived by her best friends and caregivers, Rosalee Hallmen and son in law, Mark J. Hallmen, Sr.; sons, James R. (Debbie), Timothy L. (Nora) McGhee; cherished grandchildren, Jennifer L., Mark J. (Leslie) Hallmen, who were also caregivers to Dorothy; granddaughters, Kimberly, Cassidy, Candace, Christina McGhee and Tamara Traywich; six great grandchildren; sisters, Doreen (Bob) Bonner, Inez (Larry) Roman, Betty Nelson, Dolores (Joe) Simmons, Thelma (Doug) Medley, the loving Beverly O'Saben; special aunt, Terry (Pete) Reigert; and many surviving nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter J. Talmadge and Mary Ellen Heims; brothers twin Robert L., Richard and James F. and Adie Lee; sisters, Patricia (Gene), Catherine (Jerry), Hattie Mae.

A Funeral service for Dorothy will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN 46368 with Rev. Mark L.
