Dorothy C. (nee Ittel) Michael age 91, of Hobart, IN passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016. She was born May 20, 1925 in Gary, Indiana to the late Henry and Claire (nee Beier) Ittel. Dorothy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart. Dorothy worked for three years at Corey Bros. Bakery and retired form Buy-Low after 21 yrs. of service. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Patricia Michael of Gary; two sisters, Kathryn Roberts of Lexington, Kentucky and Coralie Hunter of Lake Charles, Louisiana, numerous nieces, nephews and many other loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Michael; foster mother, Edna Adams; two brothers, Walter Ittel and Henry Ittel.
Funeral services are Wednesday June 15, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Burial will follow at Ridge lawn Cemetery in Gary.
