Doug "BIG DUG" Reese, age 45, of Portage passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday June 2, 2021.  Doug was born August 12, 1975 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Larry and Cathleen (Brown) Reese.  He was an Operating Engineer working out of Local #150.  Doug was a member of the NRA and was an avid gun enthusiast, he enjoyed spending time with his family, he loved hunting with his father, video gaming with his brother, taking his nieces and nephews fishing, camping and to the beach.

Doug is survived by his brother and sisters, Leslie (Richard) Graeber, Karen Reese, and Chris (Brittni) Reese all of Portage; his nieces and nephews, Logan and Karleigh Reese, Bryce and Aubree Ehrhart, and Beatrice Pilarski; his cousin, Laura Keever; and many dear friends and relatives.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial visitation for Doug will be conducted from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Wednesday June 9, 2021 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368.  A memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm.
