Douglas R. Michaels

Douglas R. Michaels, Sr., age 71, of Portage passed away Sunday May 27, 2018 at Porter Regional Hospital, Portage Campus.  Douglas was born January 3, 1947 in Chesterton, Indiana to the late George and Eleanor (Schubert) Michaels.  He retired after working for over 40 years with the Portage Township Schools grounds Maintenance Department.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Ward of Portage; daughter-in-law Michelle Mendilut of Portage; and two grandchildren;

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra; and son, Douglas Michaels, Jr.
