Douglas O. Tracy, age 81 of Knox and formerly of Portage, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024. He was born on November 27, 1942, in Hammond, Indiana to the late John and Wilhelmina Tracy. Doug proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He retired from Monosol where he worked as a factory laborer. He was an amazing dancer and loved to dance with his mother at the Hobart Elks. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his trike. Doug was a loving individual who would help any stranger in need. His greatest joy in life was his family and he cherished the time he spent with them.

He is survived by his wife, Christina Tracy; daughters, Karrie (Charles) Bledsoe, Elizabeth Embry, Sheri Whitten; son, Thomas (Crystal) Tracy; grandchildren, Douglas, Thomas, Anthony, Felicia, William, Tara, Teicha, Emily, Timmy, Lily, Nahia, Jaylynn, and Braylen; numerous great grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Wilhelmina Tracy; and his brother, John Tippett.

Visitation for Doug will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
