Dylan T. Childers

Dylan T. Childers, age 17, of Portage, IN passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Dylan was born on April 29, 2005, in Valparaiso, IN to Thomas Childers and Heather Pancer.  He was a senior at Portage High School and worked for Reeder's Auto Service Center. He grew up involved with the South Haven's Boy's and Girl's Clubs, he played baseball in the South Haven Little league program, was part of the Portage Highschool Choraliers. Dylan enjoyed car meets and was a member of the NWI Car Enthusiast Club. He enjoyed spending time with friends "LEXUSFL". Dylan was an amazing brother and always brought light to those around him. Dylan is preceded in death by his great-grandmother: Carol Weaver and beloved dogs: Miley and Lola. Dylan is survived by his mother: Heather Pancer; siblings: Hailey, Caleb, Isabella, and Izayah; maternal grandparents: Don and Tracy Radtke; paternal grandparents: Charlie and Sue Childers and Darlene Shepherd; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his girlfriend Amyah Gomez. Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Homes, Olson Chapel (5341 Central Ave, Portage) on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 2:00-7:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow directly at 7:00 P.M.
