Obituary
EARL E. CHAFFEE, age 80, of Hammond, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at home. Earl was born on May 16, 1930 to Floyd and Norah Chaffee in Wabash County, Illinois. Earl served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was retired from LTV Steel. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 232 in Hammond.
Earl is survived by his sister, Betty Sorba of Hobart; nieces, nephews.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clarence, Thomas and Floyd Chaffee, Jr.; sisters, Pearl (Donald) Lisle and Mary Lou Bartok.
A visitation for Earl will be Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 2-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, (219) 942-2109 or online at www.reesfuneralhomes.com. Private family burial will be held
