Eddie C. Koehler

Eddie C. Koehler, age 48, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Northwest Health Porter in Valparaiso, Indiana. Eddie worked as an operator with Phoenix Services and was a member of Local #150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a member of the New Hope Church of God in Valparaiso. He loved family gatherings and spending time with his nephew and nieces. He enjoyed fishing, garage saling with his girlfriend, and riding his motorcycle. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He is survived by his loving mother Judy Perkins of Michigan City; his girlfriend, Kimberly Powell of Valparaiso; his brother, John (Erica) Koehler of Battle Creek, MI; his two sisters, Carrie (Ryan) Boyce of LaPorte and Jackie Perkins of Starkville, MS; several nieces and his nephew; in addition to his step-father, David Perkins of LaPorte. He is preceded in death by his father Eddy Koehler.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Rees Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pinhook Cemetery in LaPorte 8001 IN-2 LaPorte, Indiana.
