EDITH POZDOL, age 80, of Michigan City, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012. She was born on July 9, 1931 in Dyer, Indiana. Edith was a 16-year resident of New Chicago before moving to North Judson. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother who enjoyed playing 31 with the family every week. She will be dearly missed.

Edith is survived by her son, Larry (Sue) Pozdol of Michigan City; daughter, Sandy (Jerry) Pero of Hobart; 4 grandchildren, Lisa, Kevin, Eric, and Tamie; 5 great grandchildren, Haley, Joshua, Vladimir, Kimberly, and Michael; 2 great-great grandchildren, Tianna and Hanna; 2 brothers, Keith and Ronald Baxter; sister, Donna Yuriga and other loving family and dear friends.

Edith was recently preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Pozdol.

A funeral service for Edith will be Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
