Edith M. Whisler

Edith M. Whisler (nee Wilson) age 97, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Cedar Creek Health Campus in Lowell, Indiana.  She was born on August 29, 1920 to Wilbert and Laura (Ingram) Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnim "Swede" Whisler, her sister, Ruth (John) Black; sister-in-law, Carmen Whisler Anderson; three brothers, Lloyd (Lois), Richard (Ann) and Robert of Florida.

She is survived by her son, Arnim Jr. (Sharon) Whisler and daughter, Karen (Dennis) Knight; four grandchildren, Dawn (Joe) Harvatine, Arnim III (Jeanne) Whisler, Warren (Sharon) Knight, and Mark (Tory) Knight; seven great grandchildren, Ben, Sam and Zachary Harvatine, Arnim IV, Cailin and Lindsay Whisler and Edie Knight; many nieces and nephews.

After cremation a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Winfield/Crown Point, IN  46307.

Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the funeral home.  A luncheon will follow the service.
