Edward Jacobs
age 51, passed away Thursday November 4, 2010 at VNA Hospice, Valparaiso surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born February 27,1959 the son of Kelly and Emma Jacobs. He was a member of Central Church of God of Portage and a construction worker for Boyd and Hasse construction. Edward enjoyed spending his time on the beach soaking up the sun.
He is survived by his wife; Alla Jacobs of Portage, 3 sons; Eric Edward Jacobs of Chesterton, Staff Sergeant Joshua Joseph (C) Kara) Jacobs of Lafayette, and Cory Michael Jacobs of Portage, step-son; Tom Ziemelis of Dearfield, IL, step-daughter; Zhanna Ziemele of Europe, 3 grandchildren; Aidan Basler, Taegen Jacobs and Zane Jacobs, mother; Emma Jacobs of Kentucky, 5 brothers; Arnold Jacobs of Portage, Orbin (Eleanor) Jacobs of Kentucky, Gil Jacobs of Portage, Maynard (Linda) Jacobs of New Chicago and Arlan (Lori) Jacobs of Portage, and good friends Teri (Brian) Morphis of La Porte.Edward is preceded in death by his father Kelly Jacobs and brother Eddie Jacobs.
A Funeral service for Edward will be held Monday, November 8 ,2010 at 11 am with Pastor Robert Eckley officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana. Visitation will be Sunday, November 7,2010 from 2pm-8pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
