Edward Thomas Mischanko

Edward Thomas Mischanko, age 61, of Portage passed away Wednesday May 24, 2023, in his home.  Edward was born January 30, 1962, in Gary, Indiana to the late Edward and Cyrilla M. (Etzel) Mischanko. He was a retired electrician that had worked for Cleveland Cliffs Steel. Ed enjoyed powered parachuting, building computers, traveling around this beautiful country by car, target shooting, and spending time with his family.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Pamala; two daughters, Christina (Paul Krizo) Mischanko and Samantha Mischanko both of Portage; a sister, Joanne (Tod) Woods of Valparaiso; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Burial of cremains will be Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in the Veterans section.  Following the burial of cremains there will be a memorial gathering at the Portage Missionary Baptist Church, 7045 Lenburg Road, Portage. Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana was entrusted with his services.
