Edward John Nazimek, age 41 of Katy, TX passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017. He was born on August 20, 1975 in Hammond, Indiana. Edward was a former longtime Lake Station resident. He had the gift of humor making everyone laugh. Edward was drawn to children especially babies. He also enjoyed fishing. His favorite team was the Indianapolis Colts
He is survived by his wife, Kim Nazimek of TX; three children, Jeremy Nazimek of CA; Savanah Nazimek of TX; Colton Nazimek of TX; his mother, Karen Pactwa of Lehigh Acres, FL; grandmother, Darlene Purnell of Lehigh Acres, FL; three sisters, Amy (Brian) Jonassen of Ottawa, IL; Angela Hatcher of Santa Fe, NM; Heidi Hulbert of Paducah, KY; three brothers, Jack (Jennifer) Nazimek of DeMotte, IN; Andrew Nazimek of Denton, TX; Joseph (Jennifer) Nazimek of Ottawa, IL; father-in-law, Tom Pieszchala of Portage, IN; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack "Pops" Nazimek and brother, Keith Allen Nazimek.
Funeral services are Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Burial will follow at Blake Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, Portage. (219) 762-3013.
