Edward Alan "Eddie" Nixon
Hobart, Indiana, age 63, a lifetime northwest Indiana resident passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at St. Margaret hospital in Dyer. Edward was a retired ironworker of Local 395; he proudly served in the United States Air Force, and was an avid bowler and former member of 909 VFW.
Edward is survived by his loving family wife; Marla (nee Jones) Nixon of Hobart, son; Michael R. Nixon of Hobart, daughter; Kim (Mike) Bottomley of Hobart, 3 grandchildren Jared, Hailey and Randy also of Hobart.
Father; Kenneth Nixon of Portage, 3brothers; Thomas (Sandra) Nixon of Lake of Four Seasons, Ronnie (Bunny) Nixon of Chesterton and Bobby Nixon of Portage.
He is preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Nixon and brother Kenny Nixon.
Funeral service will be held Monday, March 21,2011 at 11:00am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, with Pastor Richard Brown officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday March 20,2011 from 2:00-8:00p.m also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
