EDWARD A. POPP, age 86, of Hobart, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014. Edward was born on June 29, 1927 to the late Katherine and Edward Popp.  He served his country in the US Army.  He was a lifetime resident of Hobart and retired from Shaver Chevrolet in Merrillville.  Ed enjoyed fishing, golfing, and most of all spending time with his family  .  He will be deeply missed



Edward is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlene (nee Hamann) son, Douglas (Janet) Popp of Hobart; daughter, Cindy (Brad) Jolliff of Hobart; 4 grandchildren, Rhiannon Jolliff, Clint (Tina) Jolliff, Brandon Jolliff and Amy (Paul) Guess; 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Howard Popp of Hobart; 1 sister, Lucille Kingery of Hobart; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Popp of Hobart; other loving family.



He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clarence and Joseph Popp and 3 sisters, Dorothy Weaver, Geraldine Markle, and Marie Blink.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edward's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
