Edward Eugene Rippe, age 72, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014. He was born on August 28, 1941 to the late Albert and Lillian Rippe. He was a jack of all trades and his sense of humor will be sorely missed by those who loved him.

Edward is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Rippe; sons, Mike Rippe and Nick Barbato; daughters, Shawn (Denis) Spain and Karie (David) Borton; brothers, Donny (Donna) Rippe, Kenny (Evelyn) Rippe, David (Lori) Rippe, Marvin (Sue) Rippe and Dennis (Barb) Rippe; sisters, Carol (Mike) Keever and Judy Lute; grandchildren, Peyton, Alexis, Heather and Russell and great grandchildren, Chance and Makayla.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dick Rippe; sisters, Evelyn Garrison and Ellen Rippe.

Funeral Service for Edward will take place Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN with Rev. Chuck Munsell officiating.
