Obituary

EDWARD E. SULLIVAN, age 79, of Portage, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Ed was a graduate of Edison High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He was a heavy equipment operator and never stopped moving. Ed had lots of hobbies including, collecting hot rods, trains, Legos and radio-controlled cars. He was the life of every party, known for his practical jokes, "acting" and holiday decorations. Ed's dogs were his babies, and he loved them dearly. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered as the best husband, dad, papa, great grandpa, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kellie (nee Burks); 7 children, Kimberly (Don) Houser, Jim (Michelle) Miller, Ed (Donna) Sullivan, Jr., Shannon (Allen) Welp, Jeremy (Morayma) Puent, Kelly "Pookie" (Daryne) Wall, Joshua (Brandy) Puent; 15 grandchildren, Hayley (Jack) Potter, Brooke (Stan) Ignatovich, Brandon (Jaimie Lynne) Miller, Diamond Miller (Jay Huffmaster),  James (Christine) Nolan, Kristina Sullivan, Corey (Rebecca) Sullivan, Hailey Sullivan, Brandon Welp, Halee Welp, Joe Woynaroski, Ender Puent, Makenzie Wall, Seth Puent, Hannah (Cade) Puent; 12 great grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Madison, Autumn, Levi, Henley, Kennedy, Max,  Carsynn, Emersynn, Aubrey, Finley and Frances; brother, Donald "Jocko" (Marlene) Hall; sister-in-law, Annette Sullivan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Phyllis Sullivan; sister, Sandy Chantos; brothers, John "Randy" Sullivan and Jerry "Bimbo" (Tracy) Sullivan; and granddaughter, Bre-ann Miller.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory may be made to your local animal shelter.

Per Ed's wishes, there will be no public services. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
