Edwin L. Donovan, Jr. "Bud", age 83, of Hobart passed away Wednesday November 14, 2012 at the St. Mary Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to the late Edwin L. and Laura M. (Aley) Donovan, Sr. He retired from Winslow, Inc. where he was a tax preparer. Edwin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart, Happy Faces Golf League and the Thursday Night Bowling League. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a founding member of the Howling Mad Detachment of the Hobart VFW.

He is survived by his loving wife Janis of Hobart, two sons Dan (Judy) Donovan of Minneapolis, MN and Dean (Diane) Donovan of Cincinnati, OH, two brothers Tom (Margaret) Donovan of Portage and Alan (Trisha) Jackson of Valparaiso, two half-sisters Linda Johnson of Two Harbors, MN and Carol Husarick of San Antonio, TX, three grandchildren Megan, Shannon and Kevin Donovan, and several nieces and nephews

Memorial service will be 3:00 pm Saturday November 17, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church 900 Luther Drive Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Rev. Richard Boshoven officiating. Visitation will be from 2-3pm at the Church.
