Elba M. Rodriguez, age 85, of Portage, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018. She was born on January 8, 1933 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to the late Julio and Ana Cardona. Elba was a dedicated member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church. She loved her family dearly and her children meant everything to her.

She is survived by her sons, Louis A. Rodriguez Jr., Miguel Rodriguez; daughter, Julia Martinez;  grandchildren, Louis (Vanessa) Rodriguez III, Daniel (Courtney) Rodriguez, Samantha M. Rodriguez, Irene (Brian) West, Christine Martinez, James A. (Amber) Martinez, MSgt Rosa M. Rodriguez, MP Airforce; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Alex Cardona, Julio Cardona, Jr.; sister, Anna (Enoch) Espinosa; many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Luis A. Rodriguez; daughter, Margarita Rodriguez; brothers, Juan and Jose Cardona; sister, Juanita Ojeda.

Visitation for Elba will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, September 19 at 1:00 pm at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage starting with prayers in the funeral home at 12:30 pm.
