Eleanor Rose Boswell

Eleanor Rose Boswell, age 87, a resident of New Port Richey, Florida and formerly of Hobart, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011. She was born on February 25, 1923 in Marshfield, Wisconsin the daughter of George and Rose Woodruff. Eleanor graduated from the Longwood Academy in Chicago. She was married to Charles Boswell on July 3, 1954 in Valparaiso. Eleanor was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Hobart, a member of the Rebekahs, and the secretary of her condominium association.

Eleanor is survived by her loving family; daughters Patricia (Joseph) Toscani, Lake Station, Elizabeth Papka, Hobart, Kathleen (Mike) Riley, Lafayette, and son Charles (Dana) Boswell, Jr., Hobart, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Judy Boswell, St. Louis, Missouri, and sister-in-law Barbara Woodruff, Valparaiso, and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Boswell, her sons Robert Boswell and Martin Hamlin, and her brothers George Woodruff, Jr. and Kenneth Woodruff.

A visitation for Eleanor Boswell will be held from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Arnold, officiating. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery.
