Elizabeth Blanco

Age 106, passed away peacefully at Life Care Nursing Home in Valparaiso.

She was born on June 15, 1918, in Gary Indiana. Elizabeth demonstrated extraordinary strength, losing her mom at a tender age and assuming responsibilities for her siblings. Her life was a testament to devotion, as she spent 58 years in a loving marriage that began on July 11, 1938, until her beloved husband Victorino who passed in March 1996. Her baking and cooking brought joy to family, friends and the community, fostering a sense of togetherness.

She is survived by her loving children, Ronald Blanco of Valparaiso and Marlene Hostettler of Portage; and four grandchildren, Kim Stefanovich, Bill (Kimberly) Blanco, Amy (Mark) Ruddy, Paula (EJ) Harvey.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband Victor; brother, Tommy Apostol; four sisters, Constance Dutcher, Alexander Blanco, Mary Blanco and Sophie Nieto; daughter in law, Patsy Blanco and son in law, Deith Hostettler.
