Elizabeth "Lorraine" Cantrell (Skaggs), age 83, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015. She was born on February 7, 1932 in Terryville, Kentucky to the late Arthur and Nannie Skaggs. Lorraine will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to those who knew her. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked for the School City of Hobart food service for over 20 years.

She is survived by her sons: James Bruce Riggsby, Ray Cantrell, Danny Cantrell; daughter in law: Kim Cantrell; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters: Mary Jane Fyffe, Lovena (Ed) Collier, Leona (David) Salyers, Roberta (Junior Ray) Sparks.

She was preceded in death by her first husband: Preston Jackson Riggsby in 1975; second husband: Monroe Cantrell in 2001; son: Dennis Allen Cantrell; brothers: Otis Skaggs, Loman Skaggs, Cassie Skaggs.

A funeral service for Lorraine will take place Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342 with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 12:45 pm. Rev. Billy Sparks is officiating. She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
