Elizabeth Jeanette Vizena

Elizabeth Jeanette Vizena (nee Brown), age 81 of Hobart, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021. She was born on March 14, 1940 in Alabama to the late Ray and Dessie Brown. She retired from the Lake County Library where she worked as a graphic arts designer. In her free time, she liked to go fishing and bowling. From time to time, she enjoyed a Coors light with salt and tomato juice. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Angie) Jeffers, Sam (Nicki Zoetmulder) Jeffers; daughters, Kim (Chris Wagner) Jeffers, Patricia (Dan) Mull, Pam Stasak, Krista (Michael) Legler; grandchildren, Madalyn (Andrew Djordjevich) Jeffers, Allison Gill, Rory Bradney, Taylor Jeffers, Brianna Jeffers, Samantha Jeffers, Alexander Carpenter, Lucy Stasak, Kasi Legler, Christian Legler; four great grandchildren, Danilo and Niko Djordjevich, Evan and Sophia; brother, Jackie (Carolyn) Brown; sister, Annette Ziemba; many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Vizena; and her parents.

A funeral service for Elizabeth will take place Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
