Ellen P. Heck Baumgardner, age 74, of Lake Station passed away Saturday August 1, 2015 at Methodist Hospital, Southlake Campus in Merrillville. Ellen was born on June 15, 1941 in Gary, Indiana to the late Valderene and Laura (Granzow) Heck. She was a homemaker and co-owner of D&W Transfer and Storage. Ellen was a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lake Station. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Ellen is survived by two children Gregory Reynolds of Wheeler and Nancy Ellen Reynolds Blaske of Lake Station; one granddaughter Nicole Blaske of Lake Station; one brother Russell (Arlene) Heck of Deltona, FL; her first husband Don "Duck" (Donna) Reynolds of Lake Station; special friends Bonnie Owens Adams, Cathy Clawson Manns Gary and Helen Scobee; special nieces Laura Sharp and Jamie McEwen Gussman; several god daughters and many other nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold "Deano" Baumgardner; stepson Jeff Baumgardner; four siblings Vivian Sue Campbell, Thomas Heck, Lois Sable and Sharon Knotts.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday August 6, 2015 at Redeemer Lutheran Church 3930 Central Avenue, Lake Station, Indiana with Rev Gary S. Nagy officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station.
