Ellen Elizabeth Freville, age 90, of Hobart passed away Friday 9/5/14 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ellen was born May 19, 1924 in Star City, West Virginia to the late Fred and Emma (Robison) Prince. Ellen was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Ellen enjoyed playing Bunko and drinking a cup of good coffee with a cigarette.
Ellen is survived by her two daughters Paula Luedtke of Crown Point and Robbin Thompson of Knox; five grandchildren Jon (Kris) Thompson, Brian (Tracy) Thompson, Mitchell (fiancée, Stella Perez) Thompson, Megan Luedtke and Meredith (Garrett) Dunn; eight great grandchildren Emmalee Thompson, Jon Thompson, Maria Thompson, Jamison Thompson, Morgan Bullington, Gianna Ratcliff, Garrett Dunn and Aria Dunn; two sisters Alice Ruth McNemar of Rivesville, WV and Patricia (Larry) Gower of Fairmont, WV; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Paul Freville, her parents, Fred Prince and Emma Alonso, and her brother, Roy Prince.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday September 11, 2014 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
