Elmer E. Nagy

Age 78, of Portage, Indiana passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at home. He was born on August 10, 1945, in Gary Indiana to the late Frank J. and Hazel I. Nagy. A lifelong Portage resident, he graduated from Portage High School in 1963. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked at U.S. Steel and various other jobs through the years. He enjoyed being outdoors, usually mowing the lawn and planting a small garden each year. He liked watching the Cubs and Bears and going to the racetrack to watch the harness horse's race. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his sister Elaine Nagy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Nagy; mother, Hazel Ilene (nee Buhman) Nagy, and brother, Bruce Nagy.

A burial of cremains will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11 am  McCool Cemetery, 2700 McCool Rd., Portage, Indiana 46368.
