Emily Ann Casanova, age 26, of Crown Point, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021.  She was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois on April 15, 1994.  Emily cherished the time she spent with her children.  She enjoyed taking them to the beach and park for picnics and on golf cart rides.  She and her sisters loved having fun and spending time together.  Emily will be remembered for having a huge heart and would not hesitate to help even a stranger.  She wholeheartedly loved life and will be missed by many.

Emily is survived by her parents, Paula (nee DeFries) and Victor Casanova; beloved children, Marlee, Mayzee, Benjamin, Noah, Ella; sisters, Angela, Delia, Natalie; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Nancy DeFries; paternal grandparents, Raymundo and Catalina Casanova; and many aunts, uncles, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Emily's family would sincerely be appreciated.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mick Kopil officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St. Crown Point, IN 46307.  Visitation will take place prior to the service on Saturday from 9-11 am at the funeral home.  Masks and social distancing is required.
