Emily Jean Keyes

Emily Jean Hensel Keyes, age 93, of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away Tuesday February 16, 2016 in Chesterton, Indiana. Emily was born December 16, 1922 in Princeton, Illinois to the late Vilas and Lillian (Walter) Hensel. She was an elementary school teacher retiring from the East Maine Christian Academy. Emily's life was centered around her church and her family.
Emily is survived by her loving husband Stanley of Valparaiso; daughter Rose Marie Cooperider of Valparaiso; her four grandchildren Tiffany (Jonathan) Coker, James Cooperider, Thomas Cooperider and Jonathan Cooperider.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday February 19, 2016 at the Portage Bible Baptist Church 6659 US Hwy 6, Portage, Indiana with Pastor Don Good officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Repose Cemetery at 12:00 noon Saturday February 20 in Dover, IL. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 pm and Friday from 10-11 am at the Church. Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel assisted with arrangements.
