Emily J. Levandoski, age 87, a lifetime resident of Hobart, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011. She was born on January 22, 1924 in New Chicago, the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (nee Krystek) Pozdol. Emily was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, she will be dearly missed by everyone who loves her.
Emily is survived by her loving family; sons Jeff (Marcy) Levandoski of Kentucky, Joey Levandoski of Lake Station, daughter; Linda Kish of Valparaiso, numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren, brother; Walter (Edith) Pozdol of North Judson, sisters; Pat Sample of Portage, Jean (Leon) McDaniel of Portage, many nieces and nephews and other loving family and dear friends. Emily was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Levandoski, parents; Joseph and Angeline Pozdol, brothers; Ted and Fred Pozdol, sisters; Ann Remijan and Trudy Grimm.
A visitation for Emily Levandoski will be held from 2:00 pm- 4:00p.m. and 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service for Emily Levandoski will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 5, 2011 with additional visitation from 10:00-11:00 am at Hobart Presbyterian Church, 60 N. Washington St., Hobart, with Rev. Jeffrey C. Carter officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
